My stay at Riad Le Jardin Secret felt like I had landed in a fairy tale!

Riad Le Jardin Secret is truly a magical and authentic Riad tucked away in the middle of the m’dina of Marrakech. The perfect place to find good vibes and a feeling of peace away from the hussle and bussle of Marrakech. At our arrival, we were immediately welcomed with a delicious cocktail and fresh fruit. Very refreshing on a hot day! Of course, a welcome in Morocco without Moroccan mint tea is not complete, so that’s what we got (happy me!). After relaxing a bit we were shown around and went straight up to check out our beautiful suites. I was instantly in love… The bathrooms in both suites are really the cream on the cake. What I loved most about the riad, is that the complete riad is kept in its original state. The effort that was put into the beautiful Moroccan mosaic tiling and woodwork, is unimaginable. Best thing: you come across this amazing architecture on every corner!

The riad consists of a ground floor, a first floor and then the coolest ‘pink rooftop’.  A beautiful and huge terrace where you can have breakfast in the morning, or chill, play guitar and – of coure – get tanned. My favorite place on the rooftop was the small, romantic ‘Sex and the City’-looking cabin filled with Moroccan berber cushions and carpets. From this cabin, I had the perfect view over the city at sunset! Another very good thing about the riad is, that Djemaa el Fna and the souks are only a walking distance away. Perfect if you want to go out for a night out or you’re having dinner outside.

After a peaceful night we decided to have breakfast on the Pink rooftop! The breakfast consisted of typical Moroccan delicacies and healthy fruit salad. You’ll leave the riad with a relaxing and energetic feeling. I am definitely coming back again!
