Whenever I’d go to the Atlas Mountains with my dad, we’d always pass by this amazing property on the road and he’d tell me about it. How gorgeous it is inside and that I must go there one day myself. Visiting Kasbah Tamadot, one of the finest luxury hotels in Morocco, was definitely a must-visit to scratch off my bucketlist.

I was lucky to have planned this visit in December. The week before my arrival in Marrakech it had been snowing alot and so the tops of the mountains were covered with snow. Even though the sun was shining and it was around 20 degrees – it felt as if I landed in Winter Wonderland. If I could describe the views from Kasbah Tamadot over the Atlas Mountains in a few words, I’d describe it as ‘beautiful, breathtaking and picturesque’. It was perfect!

The 5* hotel Kasbah Tamadot is situated in the breathtaking Atlas Mountains in Morocco. The magical retreat Kasbah Tamadot is owned by Sir Richard Branson. The stunning property has 28 rooms and suites that each have been uniquely decorated with antiques from all over the world. The hotel is located at the top of a valley with views up to Mount Toubkal and over to some of the traditional Berber villages of Asni.

At our arrival we were welcomed in the best way and guided to a perfect spot for a welcoming drink. I am known as the ‘atay addict’ and of course that’s what I choose, but slightly different: this time I choose the Moroccan Mint Icetea! It’s basically Moroccan Mint tea but served as a cold drink – so unique and tasteful!

fter our drinks we decided to tour around the hotel a bit and discover the beauty. We had the most amazing time: we were taken to a little farm with cashmere goats from China, donkeys and camels. We also got to see the amazing suites and villas Kasbah Tamadot has to offer. I was amazed by the view each room has to offer – and of course I had to take some stunning pictures to share with you.

After the tour (and the photoshoot) we went for a lunch with a view: my favorite thing to do! For starters we had ‘briwats’ with different fillings, these are deep-fried stuffed turnover made with thin dough. We also had tomatoo with cheese. For our main dish we choose the delicious cutlets and steak beef – both with a delicious sauce on the side. Of course, fried fries couldn’t miss! It almost felt like a delicious barbecue setting in the middle of December. What else to wish for?

Everywhere you look around Kasbah Tamadot you will be surprised and delighted! From the interior to the exceptional service of Kasbah Tamadot’s local staff – get ready for a stay like you have never experienced before.
