Le Salama is the place for you if you want to have a chic dinner with a romantic panorama view after a day of strolling through the medina!
This has become one of my favorite restaurants to dine at or just for a drink at their rooftop. Because of the fact that the restaurant is extremely good located next to the famous Jemaa el Fna square, it is very easy to find and has the most amazing view at sunset from their skybar!
The restaurant has 3 floors with each their own menu card – one thing the floors have in common is that every night the belly dancers show their best moves and oriental dance expertise. Le Salama’s menus are both full traditional Moroccan dishes as well as oriental tapas and light lunches.
In Morocco, I rarely pick the Moroccan dishes on the menu, but since this was one of Le Salama’s specialities, I had to taste some. For starters we had a plate of mini briwat filled with different delicacies and a delicious sauce. For our main dish we kept it all Moroccan and went for a couscous chicken dish and a lamb with plums leaving a sweet sauce. It was DELICIOUS! After our dinner here, I am sure I will pick out the Moroccan dishes from the menu card more often.
