A lovely lunch on a sunny day with four inspiring, funny and intelligent women! This all took place at the Peacock Pavilions Boutique Hotel, designed and built by American authorblogger and designer, Maryam Montague, and her American husband, Chris Redecke.

After a rainy morning, we were lucky that the day we planned in a visit to the Peacock Pavilions boutique hotel turned into the perfect sunny day for an outside lunch. Surrounded by hundreds of rose bushes, bougainvillea, a pool, outdoor cinema, yoga activities and lot of sweet cats, Peacock Pavilions is the place-to-be for anyone that wants to have a unique Marrakech experience! The moment I walked in I was inspired by the creative art in litterally EVERY corner of each pavillion (there are 3!).

We started off with refreshening fruit juices and lots of talks with Maryam about all the amazing things she does, not only the boutique hotel, but also for the local community. The great non-profit organization Project Soar, established by Maryam and her husband Chris to empower local Moroccan girls through art and sports, as well as health and English language education. I can’t wait to write more about Project Soar next visit

After some inspiring conversations with Maryam and my two favorite Californian sisters Tiffany and Sophia, it was time for a delicious lunch served at the terrace. The table was so well decorated and the dishes were amazing. Everything was vegetarian, healthy and SO GOOD! The plan was to have lunch at the table, but why have lunch here when you can have it on colorful Moroccan rugs next to the pool while enjoying the sun?!

Peacock Pavilions boutique hotel is available for bookings here. Don’t forget to follow Maryam Montague and Peacock Pavilions on Instagram.
